Some helpful advice before ordering packaging:
Transportation.
How are the goods to be transported i.e. rail, road, sea or air? Are the goods to be individually packaged, palletised cartons or in freight containers? How many shipments are involved and what loading/unloading will the goods encounter?
Warehousing.
How will the goods be stored, on pallets? What will be the height of stacking and how long are the goods expected to be in storage?
Climatic conditions.
What temperature and humidity will the goods experience both inside and outside, both during utilisation and pre-utilisation?
Nature and value of the contents.
- Are the goods particularly fragile?
- Are they susceptible to vibration during transit?
- What is the value of the item to be packed?
